Salt water is meant to be good.. soaking the jeans in salty water should help shift some if it.. I think the real trick is not to let it dry but it is probably too late for that.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Thanks for the bio washing liquid advice - this has worked on the carpet, hopefully it will dry well.
Not sure if the stain devils has worked because the wash isn't finished yet, shame i didn't have the one for blood0 -
Hi all, my friend scratched their foot (i dont know how!) and now there is blood on my cookie coloured carpet in the living room! I am really nervous about cleaning it as dont' know where to start. Didn't notice it until the morning after so it is dry. Anyone got any suggestions please? Can you let me know if you have tried them or if you have just heard. (apparently the same persons spit is supposed to do it - yuck! will only try that if i have to!)Happiness is wanting what you have...0

Get a cloth and soak it in cold water then squeeze it out then rub the stain gently inwards (ie don't spread it)
If that doesn't work try a vanish bar - but again keep the water cool.
Start gently and work up. (ie don't bring the 'big guns' in until you've tried the easy/simple solutions.)
Just off to check and see what Shirley says for you, in case those don't work.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi angelpye,
There's an earlier thread with lots of ideas that may help so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

My husband had a nose bleed this morning and it is on my new duvet cover, new carpet and on the wall by the light switch.
I don't want to make it worse but could do with some advice.
More worried about the carpet, light brown/beige colour and it is only one small spot but have visions of it getting bigger.2013
