Can anyone please help by shedding light on the codes types on a halifax mini statement. I understand the DR Card + DIR DBT ones. I even understand the INT one bit under the INT one I have a INT STD and they have took £967.48 out of my account? Wot is that then?
Many thanks

Are you registered with their online banking system.
This will probably show up more information than the mini statement.
To me this would indicate Interest Standard (as opposed to unauthorised interest) but to pay £967.48 probably means you have one hell of an overdraft!
Have you by any chance been in financial difficulties with them or any HBOS subsidiary (cards or loans etc)? The only other explaination I can think of (unless it is a genuine mistake) is that they are making good any arrears on any other lending.
If it is not anything like this I would be on the telephone or in the branch tomorrow morning asking for an explaination.0 -
Not in any money difficulties with them, infact in credit to the sum of £3000+! Over draft only £500 and they paid me interest of 4.25 this month! Not registered online so will have to have a word in the morning!0

I think INT STD will stand for internal standing order.0

Could it be a mortgage payment then?
Although if I had a payment like that I certainly would know what it was for!0 -

You guys are right. It was my mortgage payment, but they took it out 3 1/2 weeks early! And then they took out our life and critical illness policy in one lump sum instead of over 12 months! They looking into it for me.... Esp as I only paid a mort payment on the 28th April!0
