So I've put them in this morning. Will they be usable if they soak for 6 hours rather than 8 -12 ?
It's Tesco broth mixture, and I'm planning to make a sausage casserole with it later.
What d'you think?

Broth mix doesn't need soaking.??
Edit to Add....when I do anything with broth mix, I add a handful to the pot as it goes in the oven. Never soaked it.
If you are using peas and beans on their own they will be ok with 6 hours.0 -
If it has whole green peas in you'll need to soak it.
You can quick soak them by pouring boiling water over them rather than cold.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -

Boil for 10 minutes and leave them in the hot water; should be good by teatime.
I do this all the time; we have chilli every Tuesday so you'd think I'd have learnt by now to soak the beans on a Monday.0 -
I never soak a broth mix myself as the mix is usually made up of smaller lentils, peas and beans but I would put them in a stew or casserole that is cooked for 4 or 5 hours and they are always cooked well.Well it says soak for 8-12 hours on the back of the pack .... http://www.tesco.com/superstore/xpi/2/xpi51063302.htm
If it has bigger peas or beans in it, soaking for 6 hours and then cooking them will be fine.0
