Morning all
was in a good mood this morning, have been for a very brisk 5 mile run and I look like a beetroot
Going to have a moan now...I know OH's family are quite frankly useless, he didn't get a birthday card from any of them and only his sister has been down to visit us in the 8 years we have lived here. I couldn't care lesss to be honest but I try and make the effort. Neice passed her driving test the other day and on her FB she said she was bored driving on her own so I said why doesn't she drive down here and bring OH's parents down for a visit. Her mother just wrote that OH's parents were too ill to come, she wouldn't let neice drive all that way and they had dog to think about. !!!!!! I am so angry I am not even going to bother to go and see them before christmas. I mean this is the family that had to consider whether they could come to our wedding as it meant a long drive (3 hours lol) and they didn't know whether they could leave the dogs. I don't know why I am letting this wind me up, I guess its when the chips are down and we can't afford to do things we have had no support from his family, not so much as a phone call.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sally, family are crap - my mum couldn't even be bothered going to sister's graduation. Then tried to get sympathy from me about it. I'm slowly realising that it's best to just step back and let the crap just wash over me, there's nothing I can do to change them.
It was an ARU graduation!
Luc, a Graze box is a box with four little nutritionally balanced snacks in it. https://www.graze.com I think is the site, they're a bit pricey, but I like it because I can control snacky portion sizes, instead of getting something, saying it'll last a week and scoffing it in one go. And it's still less than I was spending when I was eating a punnet of berries a day, and not much more than 4 chocolate bars or packets of crisps.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
You are right, Im glad I don't have to see them very often, I try to remain nice for B's sake but she will make her own decisions about them as she gets older and TBH its their loss! I have a fantastic family so its not like i need them, just feel a bit sorry for OH that they don't seem to bother!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Family can be rubbish sometimes Sal!
I got up this morning determined to make time next week to sort my life out and to do things for me.
DD1 rang - had bad nite with baby again. I have volunteered to have him for 24 hours next weekso she can have a nite's sleep.
I have made the lasagne for the Leaders' dinner tonight.
When will I learn to say NO!0 -
Sound like a bunch of meanies sally. You try., it's their fault they can't see past their own front door *sigh* When mum and dad go away (they're on bournemouth this weekend) my sister and her wife live at home, so they look after the dog (even more important since the new one is a hyperactive madloon)
Just waiting for the mail, to see if my ebay purchases turn up..If they don't I'll be letting people know....if they do...feedback city! Then I've got ot go into town and look for a pair of comfy trainers/shoe-boots cos I need them for uni** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

my graze box should arrive to my house today, will it fit thru my letter box? i wish i'd got it delivered to work....
I'm quite excited about it, but i hope it's stuff erin will like as i am supposed to be being good cd wise.... i'm meeting a chum in coffee shop at lunchtime, i'm just gonna have a cappucino i think... altho i am out on the drink tomorrow night so need to eat in the daytime tomorrow!
nowt else new with me....
well i went and got a wee undercounter fridge last night, it wasn't as nice as the one i have but it fits in my kitchen and that's all that matters i guess....
when i get a new fitted kitchen next year (so says council woman) then i will ensure they give me a gap in the counter tops for a double height fridge and will just keep my good one in the shed meantime... anyone got any hints for keeping it in working order thru the winter... shed is pretty water tight...I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Maz, my graze box fit through the letter box.
I'm getting a new kitchen too, should be sometime in the next 1-6 years, unless it's been put back again, I'm a bit out of the loop. It's the heating I'm looking forward to most, although last I heard they were trying to wriggle out of giving us that.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Maz can you put a blanket and waterproof sheet, will stop it getting too cold and freezing the elements and waterproof just in case!
Graze box should fiit through box no problem, thats the whole idea. We all loved our box this week, something for everyone
Had a shower and I am now about to get turbo listing and trying to find things around the house to sell *sigh*....am running out of things!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
