If you work for 'The Post Office' than look to transfer to another branch or into Royal Mail. Your HR dept would look into that for you. Failing that seek help from the union. I wouldn't advise leaving The Post Office because of rumours of closure as the redundancy money could be worth hanging on for. One again the union would advise.
Thank you for your advice
I have spoken to my manager and she said not to put in for a transfer until something happens as they won't let me refuse a transfer so I could end up moving before OH! I've only worked for them for 2 years so I wouldn't get a huge amount but my plan is if I'm offered anything else (as I've been applying for alsorts even before the posting issue came up) is to ask for VR and see if they will give it to me! They're looking to cut back wherever possible so it could be a possibility. I am in the union so I would speak to my rep before making any decisions.:heartpuls

Have to ask how much is a married quarter rent per month ?
150 a month?
We pay £266 and that covers part furnished rent, the equivelent of council tax, water and electric. Bargain!

Or, just stay away 1-2 nights.
Just another way to mix things up a bit.
That looks like a brilliant idea, it's also given me the idea of asking around if any of my friends here would like to give up their spare room sometimes. Thank you
