Ditto. My 16 yr old checks my appearance before he'll walk out of the house with me. He once actually wore shades in WH Smiths because he was with me in case his friends were in there!
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Sadly, my sons (16 and 14) could have written this post. My 16 year old actually said it's well known that tramps wear Umbro stuff  :rotfl: . It's all a bit alien to me (I'm 48), I have to say (I've even been known to wear Diadora  ).

Diadora!     Hehe :D

I only found out what scoobies were the other day! I thought it was just a cartoon with shaggy! :D

I think they are. I compared them and the Umbro shirts win hands down. In a 'blind' test, there is no way the YSL shirts would win. A case of label over substance.

I sometimes wear the YSL ones at work. I dont think my colleagues would be too impressed coming into work in a Umbro shirt!

    the umbro ones are crap

Yes they are /Umbro....and the england shirts are dreadful quality....even at 11.99!

Im 22, but when i was in secondary school it was considered that anyone that wore a sports branded item of clothing was a 'townie' or 'chav', so when i stepped in to giles sports/sports world last week it was the 1st time ever for me. Had a shock finding that they sold non sporty makes too!!! bought quite a bit there last week!

the umbro tops (including the england tops of which i have one) are not the best quality i have to admit.

i purchased some ysl stuff from the shop in exmouth about 4 weeks ago, a jumper that is very nice and doesnt have ysl plastered everywhere, a polo shirt and a tshirt. i wear polo shirts most of the time as they dont require much to look ok, just a wash and leave them on the radiator to dry them. the ysl ones are a much better quality than the umbro one i had, the umbro one is made with less care, cheaper materials and is not as well fitting. this is why i only have 1 umbro polo and serveral addidas/ysl/ralph lauren shirts, they are better made, feel better, last longer, look nicer.

they do have umbro shorts reduce to something like £3.60, now these are good.

the kids umbro sweatshirts that were about £1.50 each i think are fantastic. ds1 wears them all the time, been washed loads & still look like new.
Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!

The YSL brand isn't what it used to be, but I will check this out anyway. Thanks for the pointer :). Would be dashing off at 8am if it was Ralph Lauren...
