YSL Designer stuff cheap at SportsWorld/Soccer/Lilleywhites etc

Just been to my local SportsWorld at Rotherham and they are selling Yves St. Laurent t-shirts at £7 reduced from (I think) £30, plus polo shirts at £12 reduced from £40. Almost forgot, also short sleeved casual shirts for £14-ish reduced from £43. Loads of different styles ranging from plain to a bit gaudy (IMHO, of course!). Bargain....

  • sportsworld...umbro polo shirts <£4....very good quality

    sportsworld ...YSL polO shirts....£12.....inferior quality.

Do the math, as they say in USA.
  • as sports soccer / sports world own a lot of the companies whose products they stock they can set the rrp at whatever they want. i believe they contracted umbro when umbro were in trouble and got an amazing deal ...i don't think there's a tie in with YSL....but come on £30 for an YSL t-shirt!

I was in the Lakeside Lillywhites (Sports Soccer) last weekend and I picked up a YSL Harrington Coat/Jackets (slightly padded) for £29.99, reduced from £99.99. House of Fraser in Lakeside selling them at £119.99! They still have a few-bargain buy!

somehow I dont think umbro ones are as good as YSL ones......mind you the YSL stuff I tried on in Sportsworld felt like seconds.

I have bought the Umbro polo shirts, they can not be described as "very good quality". Good for the cost, yes. But a true good quality shirt will last longer and be better for it.

Good enough for casual day wear though.

I think they are. I compared them and the Umbro shirts win hands down. In a 'blind' test, there is no way the YSL shirts would win. A case of label over substance.

Sadly, my sons (16 and 14) could have written this post. My 16 year old actually said it's well known that tramps wear Umbro stuff  :rotfl: . It's all a bit alien to me (I'm 48), I have to say (I've even been known to wear Diadora  ).
