Hi
I have successfully won a claim through paypal (damaged item) by ALOT of emails arguring my case. They state that for a refund i must send the broken item back to the seller - this seller is in hong kong. But i must send it via a trackable method.
I'm aware of many problems involving tracking on paypal - any advice on which manner for overseas would be accepted by them??

International signed for might not be sufficient, see the help pages here:

i'm guessing Airsure is the only fool-proof method via royal mail for a low weight item. Thanks0

Strange. Also on the PayPal website it says:Q. Is Royal Mail - International Signed For® an acceptable method of online tracking?
A. Yes. PayPal accepts Royal Mail Group services which provide online tracking (Track & Trace).
Sellers must retain the International Signed For® 'proof of posting' information provided by Royal Mail to be protected against a claim under PayPal's Seller Protection Policy. The seller will meet this part of the criteria as long as the online tracking number is valid and the address on the receipt matches the buyer's address in the relevant PayPal Transaction Details page.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

razorbladekisses, I read that as paypal (being difficult again of course!) saying that International signed for is OK *as long* as it is fully tracked. The link I provided rather suggests that the RM themselves are aware they can't fully track it so paypal point this out trying to be helpful.
Therefore paypal will accept International signed for as long as RM can prove delivery, and you know how much I trust the UK post.

Oh I see what you mean, so basically it's not guaranteed/reliable then.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I would send it via a courier service, it really depends on the item though, if it's only cheap then sending via a service such as DHL maybe very expensive and so not really worth it in relation to the price of the item.
Royal Mail should be ok but I'm sure I read somewhere that International Signed For is only tracked until it leaves the UK, which seems a bit silly and maybe I've got it wrong.Stuff Happens As Wave of Ambiguity Spreads:cool:0 -
Just checked the website and its signed for on delivery at the destination, so it should be fine. Saying that though....if it's anything like UK recorded delivery then the Royal Mail never seem to have a signature online.Stuff Happens As Wave of Ambiguity Spreads:cool:0
