Intensive Driving Lessons

Hello
I really want to take an intensive driving course, but I have no idea where to start. I have had driving lessons before, and I kind of have the basics of driving, but I definitely need to sharpen everything up (a lot), learn manoueveres, take a theory test and take a practical test.
Does anyone have any advice or any experience with an intensive driving course? I would be grateful for any help.
I would like to do the course at the beginning of January 2010 and I really want to do an intensive course because at the moment I live away from home so as to attend University, so I would preferably like to do this in the holidays whilst I am home and do not have to attend University. I would also like to do it in a location in or near to Essex.
Thank you.

Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
