Reclaiming PPI from Credit card

Hi all
I just wanted to check what the procedure should be if I wanted to try and recaim the PPI from my credit card. The company I initially took the card out with (LV) sold it on to Goldfish and now Barclays run the card. Would I be able to claim from each of them? Sorry about being so vague but I am not too sure about how all this works.
Many thanks

Hi there
To kill 2 birds with one stone, I suggest that you write to both of them, copy the one letter on to the other and make them both aware that you have done this in case any of them try to fob you off, not saying they would, as one of them are responsible to take this on to investigate your complaint.
For more on reclaiming with guidelines of reclaiming a list of mis selling reasons and template letters check the link below and please ask for help if required, good luck.
Post all letters by recorded delivery - this is your proof of posting.;)

Hi Putty i cant seem to find your posts about BC ,how long did it take ,

Hi Sunny
I first complained before august as BC had charged me for insurance i had previously cancelled. I complained via the website and eventually got a letter saying they were looking into it. At this stage reclaiming ppi was not on my mind, i just wanted to acknowledge that they charged me ppi withour asking, so wrote back and told them to sort asap. Other than a ppi questionaire i got nothing back so wrote and told them i would not complete the form all i wanted was a refund. I heard nothing so chased them again in august and about 3 weeks later i received a letter saying they has misold me ppi, a schedule of charges with interest and that if i signed their statement i would get £3086 back. I sent the letter back special delivery and within the week they credited my account, although i had requested they pay it straight to my bank but under the rules if there is an outstanding balance they are allowed to do this. I just hope if I am sucessful with first plus they don't do it as i need that money - perhaps someone could advise????????
So there you go Sunny, a refund without even trying, but I am now pursuing them for charges as they quickly reduced my credit and I have gone after all my other creditors, Barclays being a big target!
Cheers
Putty
PS let me know how you get on:j0 -
