Tesco Wine by the Case

Thought I'd order some wine yesterday morning as I had a Clubcard voucher for 750 bonus points, plus it was free delivery so I thought, why not...

Supposed to be delivered between 7am and 7pm today, but there's no sign of it - I rang the number who gave me another number to ring which dealt with wine specifically - rang that but due to "unforseen circumstances" there's no one there to take my call! :mad:

I really wanted the wine, just handed in my first assessed assignment and wanted to treat myself

Sorry about the wine but congrats on the assignment, DD on last year of four so she's done a fair few of these. Hope all goes well. At least you won't have a hangover.

:rotfl:I wouldn't be too sure - going to try and get some flatmates out for a drink if the wine doesn't turn up soon!

Thanks for the congrats! I'm a postgrad so I've had quite a few assignments in my time, but this is very different - possibly the most boring piece of work I've ever done at higher education level!

I think (although someone whose had a recent wine delivery may correct me!) that Tesco use a courier now instead of the grocery vans as they used to. I have an order due tomorrow and that's the impression I got.

If this is the case they're unlikely to deliver after 7pm and I'd write it off till tomorrow.

When they used the grocery delivery vans they commited themselves to a 2hr slot.

Thanks, I think I might just give up now and pop off down the pub!

There was an option to choose a two-hour slot for delivery, but I was staying in to do my work anyway and the all-day option was free - just goes to show you get what you pay for!

Someone's getting an annoyed telephone call tomorrow!
