CYPRUS in October which beach??

Hi
we recently had to cancel our May holiday due to ill health and am desperate to get to somewhere with a nice beach In October.
I was thinking Cyprus as its still warm then...
Could anyone tell me which resorts have the best beach and any personal hotel recommendations?
I thought a week in ayia napa and a week in Pathos could be good.
I thought I would book it all independently to save a few £s if possible.
I have seen the hotels that I will likely book from reviews on trip advisor but any real life suggestions or cost cutting tips gratefully accepted!

Hi Muddy697, i was in ayia napa last september.
We stayed at the Cristobel appartments, fab location as the bars were all walking distance.
The apartment was nice too, seperate living area/kitchen and large bedroom too.
The best Beach is Nissi beach, we had to get a taxi to there though but it was dead cheap.
