Anybody else had this????
I'm thinking about re locating and spotted a property I liked the look of on Rightmove's website.
Great, I thought, it's within my price range, looks ideal for what I want, in a lovely area. I'll email them and ask for further details etc.
I have now emailed them three times AND spoken to someone in their office, all this over a three week period but have I received requested information? Have I hellers like!!
It's still on the market so, not like it's SSTC or anything. It's actually been moved from 'for sale' to 'Premium Listing', agents are Lambert Brown.
Do they want to sell houses or what? Have EAs abandoned all hope?
Or are they just carp?

Just crap by the sounds of it; go directly to the vendor and inform them of the situation. I'm sure they'd love to hear about how the EA is acting. It's probably a premium listing because the vendors have paid extra money for it to be so!0
-
Presumably it's been put on premium listing because the vendors actually want to sell - and fast?
How do I reach the vendors though?'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

Stick a note through their door and tell them that you've been trying to get sales info on the house and a viewing for three weeks now and the agents have been ignoring you. Pop your telephone number on the note and ask them to forward the details to their agents."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

If I was closer, I'd just knock on their door, ask for a viewing and THEN tell them how shoite their EA is. Might have got them a private sale and by-passed the EAs fees altogether!
Unfortunately, I live in Devon and the house is in Gloucestershire! I was planning to tie a viewing up with a few days holiday, possibly viewing others in the process. Free time is a bit tight at the mo to make a special journey up country.
Thanks for the suggestion though Mr.C.'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

I just don't get it. I own a couple of businesses and if someone was banging on my door wanting to do business, I'd be snatching their hands off!
If I was an AE, especially at the moment, I'd be pulling me plums out for any potential clients! (I pull my plums out anyway for my clients but that's beside the point here)
Maybe it's worth a trip just to let the poor bl00dy vendors know how utterly crap their EA is and man, you're gonna be soooooo ripped if they EVER get you a sale!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

You presumably know the address, send them a letter.I'm an ARB-registered RIBA-chartered architect. However, no advice given over the internet can be truly relied upon since the person giving the advice hasn't actually got enough information to give it with confidence. Go and pay someone!0

I don't know their address, only know the name of the road.'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

I reckon I could deduce the number from the Rightmove website. Either by looking closely at the photo or by an aerial map. In fact, want to PM the link and I'll have a go?I'm an ARB-registered RIBA-chartered architect. I have looked closely at the the pic and the aerial shot and I reckon I'm quite capable of figuring this out for myself if needs be, thanks anyway.
The thing that pi$$e$ me off more than anything is, why are the EAs not looking after potential clients, looking after their existing customers and the knock on effect of word of mouth marketing and in the process, making some money?
They are crap and I would certainly never recommend them to anybody!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'
