Microsoft Word takes forever to open & close ?

  • deleted and reinstalled Office completely again ... and no differrent ... if anything even slower !!.. and trying to close a Word doc comes up with the blue square "end program.... this progrem is not responding."


    Again ..trying your cure .. still no "data" key.

    I think it may be time for a re-install of Windows I'm afraid. If it's getting slower everytime that you install Office, something is clearly not right, and you could be there months trying to sort it. At this point, if it was me, I would format the hard drive and reinstall. Please make sure you are happy doing this before you attempt it, it's not hat difficult, but sometimes you can hit technical issues that require some technical knowledge to sort out. If you have a 'restore' CD that cam with tha laptop, this should work fine, and will be the preferred option.
