  • Just to echo some of the other replies - if you're in the Midlands, JTS in Coalville are a good bet - my daughter got a jacket from there, great service.

For boots, if it's tough all-weather you need you can't beat Altberg. They cost less than many of the big brands, and their quality is top notch - the styling isn't to everybody's liking though (they don't go well with Power Ranger suits).

Hein Gericke are always worth a look; personally I find their sizing hard to get my head round - they're not even consistent within their own range (e.g. some jackets are done on chest size in cm, others are L, XL, XXL etc). Might be worth signing up to their mailing list on 4theride.co.uk - they send discount vouchers quite frequently.

Accessories - M&P / Busters (same company) are big players, but there are lots of others around especially on ebay. Even my local Honda dealer has a good, well-priced range of accessories and clothing.
Also try www.getgeared.co.uk - you get cashback (at least through Topcashback anyway). They're a German company (UK warehouse) so their range is unique and pretty good.

Helmets - don't buy online unless you've tried that brand on for size - they're all different. At the cheaper end of the market the likes of HJC are a decent budget brand. Watch out if you buy an obscure / cheap brand - they all have to comply with safety standards, but getting things like replacement visors can be difficult or expensive.

What kind of bike and riding are you looking at?

    Thanks Billy
Will check out JTS and others.

Helmets I've got an old Arai which I'll probably use for a bit before deciding on a new one. Tried on a few in a shop. They had a very nice AGV K-3 in one of Rossi's plainer colour which was lovely but the shape doesn't really me. Nor did Suomy. Shoei's fitted better but were heavier... and they were all twice the price! :-o

Looking to get a CBR600F for everyday riding. 30 mins commute to work probably but also something I could have a bit of fun with.
