That's pretty much it.
I cant see beyond an ISA, a savings & a regular savings account. Anyone got a better idea, free from risk?
Many thanks for any help.

Depends on your attitude to risk.
You could put a lump sum in a FTSE tracker for a year and see what happens to it (could make more than in a savings account but you could end up with less than what you started with)
(just seen your bit about risk - although a ftse tracker has risk it isn't high risk).
I would put as much as you can in an isa, put as much as you can into a couple of regular savers to feed over the year and then put say £10k in a tracker.
You can get things like one year fixed rate bonds but they tend to at lower rates than things like regular savers etc.0 -

On a crude scale of 1-10 (1 lowest, for savings accounts and 10 highest) you will find the FTSE trackers around risk 7/8. That makes it medium/high risk. Much higher than the average person realises.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
