    Hi Becky,
You need to look for the Eurostar offers.
Eurostar travels to Paris, then you can get the SNCF to La Rochelle.
Not sure if this would be any cheaper than some of the Ryanair offers though.

  • I'm not sure the saving is £75 as the day return is usually £45, not £90.
But it's still a good deal...as a shareholder, I wish they had told me before I booked my Dec 3rd trip!

  • I've never driven abroad before and I've been told you need a "green card" for your insurance to drive, do you have to notify your insurance does anybody know, even if it's for just a day trip?
  • Loving this site & the tips. Will definitely get some of that bargain wine for xmas.:j
I usually just tell my insurance company. On my week long holiday in the summer I think it was about £20 extra they wanted to cover. Not sure on a day trip. Best check.

BTW How come nobody does thanks on this thread and its been viewed 5,500 times:confused:

That's something you will have to ask your insurance co. Most insurance covers you but, it may be only third party. If you want full cover contact insurance co. You may be covered for full comp-you may have to pay extra-it may be automatic for a certain period,- or, it may be included but you have to let them know you are going. It's a minefield. Hope you can understand this. Good luck.
  • i've just come back from France 10 days ago - got some good deals in Tesco Calais - for example, Blossom Hill signature ( white and red ) was £1.91 per bottle. Its £4.94 in my local Tesco.
