silly question perhaps but do you need a passport to do these day tripsReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

Yes you do need a passport0

I think if they have your credit card number and they see you have not come back on your travelling out day, they can charge you for the return trip. At least, that is what Brittany Ferries do, according to their T and C's.
It sounds preposterous, doesn't it? what advantage can it possibly have for them, that you don't come back the same day? Particularly if you have paid for 2 day-return tickets. I can't work it out either.
Hopefully the train companies won't get the same idea, or an awful lot of cheap travel plans using cheap day return tickets instead of singles won't work out..............0 -
Th OP is quite clear, DAY TRIP. If you try to return at a different time and day you WILL be charged the full price for that time.
If you use this offer for what it is meant for, i suggest going to the Tesco wine store and stocking up for christmas. They have many wines at 6 for £10. I got 9 cases (£90) and checked on the Tesco groceries website and found the same wines instore would have cost £300.0 -
Thank you.
I'm not sure there any wine bargains to be had with the exchange rate the way it is at the moment but I might treat my OH to a lunch trip as an early xmas pressie as he's a francophile0 -

Yay!
I'm off to France on the 3rd of December for only £15
I was able to travel on the date I requested and a ticket on the first train out after 6am and the last train back before middnight :T
A very polite and courteous service from the gentlemen who took my booking.
Thanks Eurotunnel

I've booked for the last day the offer is on, thurs 17th Dec! I also had a very helpful and polite young lady called Lauren.
I rang at 5.40pm and it took a few minutes to get to speak to Lauren and again just a few minutes to book it all. They need the make of your car and car registration and if you've got one of those LPG cars, you cannot go on the Eurotunnel!
Can't wait, we're driving to Belgium to get Leonidas chocolates and Belgium beers and cakes and biscuits that are fantastic quality and a fraction of the price here.
I also found 100 Euros in my spare purse, which I'd forgotten about, so I'm really happy now!!!0 -
My daughter who is only 8 weeks old doesn't yet have her own passport - does anyone know if I can take her without one? I notice that even her birth certificate says that it's not proof of identity (how ridiculous)!0

Just booked this for Dec 17th for a full day in France. Hope the weather's good.
No need to use that nasty 0870 number. I used 01303 282061.0
