what pc do you have desktop or laptop
if you have desktop then a network card and a cable from the router to the desktop
if you have a laptop you need the usb or pci type card or an internel wireless card for your laptop
you perhaps ought to explain a little more what you have and what you want to do:confused:

    network card in tower
cable from router to tower :D

instructions and help should have been supplied with your o2 router
when i had mine the diagrams were sent to me
  • You are saying your desktop has a cable connection and working fine, I would stay with that, much better for many technical reasons.

No wireless or cable will not slow down the BB

And turn the router wireless off (will stop anyone else using your broadband).
  • not sure how helpful some of these replies are. the op has indicated he wants to use the router wirelessly.

For a laptop you will need either a wireless usb dongle (not something that connects to a mobile network) or a wireless pmcia card. For a desktop you could use a usb dongle or a pci card. Either way, if you are not familiar with your pc double check it does not already have the hardware as you might just have it disabled if you've never needed to use it.

I would not get the £20 one, but perhaps let us know what else your looking at to make sure it will be compatible.

I'm not clear where the OP said he had to use wireless?-I get the impression he thinks that his PC does not have a wireless card (almost certainly correct) but also under the impression that it lacks a network port (incorrect).
OP, any PC that's 5 years old will have a network port (also known as an ethernet port) on the back panel. You just connect your O2 box to that by ethernet cable, you don't need anything else at all.
A PCI card is the name for all the expansion cards that can be fitted to desktop PC's. One type of PCI card is an ethernet or network card. If your PC lacked this port, you could add it on a PCI card, but your PC will already have this port fitted as standard.
