Enhamced redundancy

Hi,
me & two of my colleagues are being made redundant and have today been given our statements.
We are all getting Statuatory. The company is also paying a supplement on top. For two of us this supplement is based on one week for every year. For the other person the supplement is two weeks for every year. Is this fair? The only difference is that the other person is 57 years old and has been with the company 20 years. Would this make a difference?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I know when you are over 40 you get 1.5 weeks per years worked, so it may go up if over 50. But all in all 1 week per year is average.
Good luck wiht finding new employment

Note the cap on stat redundancy and it's 41.
I would get clarification why they have made the different enhancements for different people.
It may not be acceptable under current age discrimination rules.
It could be that there are contract considerations that give some employees better terms.0
