Apparantly not great quality, would have been good deal if the knives where good!
  • oh dear, wish I had searched here before I bought them! sounds like lots of people have had a bad time with them, fingers crossed for me!
  • I went for this offer, they are great knives, as long as you sharpen them, mone have been in daily use for 18months, and still look new

I've also got a set of these knives - they do need sharpening regularly, but OH used to be a butcher and knows how to use a steel properly - they are his preferred knives for a lot of kitchen duties ;)
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

very common misconception about sharpening steel. I have had the set of 15 or so of these knives for about 5 years. Do need sharpening but good quality. You can only sharpen with a stone. A steel maintains sharpness for longer but won't sharpen anything.

good deal i reckon if you can be bothered to maintain them
