I use Office 2003!
Open Outlook.
Tools -> Options
Then click 'Email Options'
Then click 'Advanced Email Options'
Then tick the box next to 'Show an envelope icon in the notification area'.
Click OK to close all the options screens and you should be done!

I dunno

Tools > Options > Preferences tab > Email Options > Advanced Email Options.
On this screen uncheck the Display a New Desktop Alert box to turn it off. Select Desktop Alert Settings to change the duration and transparency of the notification.0 -
AAAARRRGGGGHHH! I still can't get it to work.
It just seemed to disappear one day!
On a lighter note, the Emu got a hattrick today!0 -
i hate outlook, you should get incredimail!! it is great loads better and it gets the email settings from outlook, you can have it with a little letter in the toolbar when you get an email or a notifier(cant spell)can come on and there are loads to chose from or you can just have a sound that plays. there is a junk filter(you have to pay for this but i have a patch to make it like the premium version i can send you if you like), i really love it and i dont know what i did without it!Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0
