40th Birthday ideas

ok so it's the big one for me next month.

I'm usually not a great fan of big gatherings because everyone is getting ready for christmas.....

But this year i've decided whilst i can do it, i want to have a party...

Money is tight for all........

any suggestions...... the local 80's nightclub is even looking favorable as its free entry for party bookings and cheap cocktails
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

  • I had a 40th last year. Booked a hall, a DJ a buffet etc. Looking back I probably spent the best past of £400. I really enjoyed it but to be totally honest I wouldn't do it if I had my time again. It was lovely seeing friends, family etc and the pressies were fantastic but I guess I thought it'd be like my 18th and it wasn't! People were driving, left handy as they had distance to travel, babysitters to get back to etc. By midnight I think there were only about 12 of us left....... I'd maybe head out for a meal, cheesy nightclub if I was doing it again so your idea sounds good!
  • If your going with an 80's night don't forget, to tell everyone to wear there best 80's big hair and 80's make up. Go on go the whole hog, stripes of blusher and sideways ponytails.
It sounds like a scream to me

If you need balloons, banners, badges, decorations etc for the party then I can recommend partypuffin.com.

They have loads of products at very low prices and provide a very reliable & speedy service.

    Hope this helps!

Can someone report this? (DOn't have emil on this comp so i can't)
