More than likely it's reached the end of it's life, two years is about right for the cheapy ones. Especially if it's used daily.0

My mum has had one of these for about 7 years used at least daily by 2 people...................0 -
Lucky Mum,
The reason these low cost showers mostly have 12 month guarantees is they don't last a lot longer than that.
I've replaced enough of them over the years to see what lasts and what doesn't, which is why I really only sold Mira Sport electric units to any of my customers, they last and they're quality items.0 -
Hi,
When my Wickes shower packe dup after 10 years use the plumber told me it was a rebadged Triton.
So not so cheapy

10 years ago they used to be, now they're probably some Chinese cheapy.0

They still are re-badged trintons, and still crap.Still in stock @ Wicks £54.
I have aways recomended Mira, and will continus to do so, you get what you pay for.0 -
Well i bought a cheapy on offer - It was a triton which also turned out to have a 2yr guarantee. I had a prob where the water was either freezing or boiling.
A quick call and they came out and repaired it. (the engineer told me it would have already been 2yrs old when i bought it though!!)
Check the guarantee, worth a shot.

i recently replaced a 7kw Redring Shower which had been in my bathroom for probably 18 years - and it got just as hot as my new 7kw Triton one does !!0
