Can I DIY bamboo flooring

13»

Comments

  • We laid bamboo flooring ourselves in our front room two years ago.

Before that we only had experience fitting laminate in the bedrooms. We made minor mistakes with laminate such as cutting two planks too short (and not realized at the time).

That experience really helped us with the bamboo flooring. It took us longer to do the bamboo because it is a much harder material to cut.

The job you want to do is entirely possible to do DIY, it will take time and patience. The more doors and corners etc that you have the more complex it is but you can get a good quality finish if you take care.

http://www.wickes.co.uk/pcat/webtv Scroll down the list and there is a link to fitting wooden flooring. Have a look and make an informed decision on if you want to give it a go.

    Good luck!!;)
