Negative feedback in error

Customer gave me negative feedback in error(admitted it by email) as it should have been for another seller.I asked him to withdraw it via the Mutual Feedback withdrawl system, but despite frequent requests he has failed to do so.He Has (0) feedback.Should I neg him to prompt him into doing something about it???

I would email him back and say that you still haven't left feedback for him and that you feel a positive wouldn't be appropriate in this situation whilst your neg is still there.

How can he mutually withdraw his feedback rating if you haven't left the buyer feedback?

I can't see how someone can leave a neg in error, I clicked the 'neg' box by mistake once, it comes up with 'Are you sure you want to leave a negative?' then gives you a chance to change it.

Unless it's changed recently and doesn't do this anymore

Give them a negative feedback then you can apply for a mutual feedback removal but if the buyer has a zero feedback they might not be bothered about a negative feedback on their account and may ignore your emails for feedback removal

The op says in his post his buyer thought he was leaving the feedback for another seller.

Still bad though, if i ever leave feedback i always double check i am leaving it for the right person.
