Hi,
Just had a quote for £120 for a man with a van to move furniture from one house to another (30 mins journey time).
Is this a reasonable quote (in the north west area)?
Thanks

Doesn't sound too bad to me. Last time I moved (6 yrs ago) I used a similar 'man with removal van' type outfit and the rate was £50 per hour. I only moved literally 1 mile away so it only took him an hour and cost me £50. £120 sounds quite reasonable.
Check whether he has insurance for this kind of thing though! Like is he covered if he drops your fridge whilst moving it from one house to the other?

Sounds reasonable to me too. I moved in January 2008 within the north west from a 2 bed 1st flr apartment to a house 30 minutes away and paid £165, with moving boxes supplied. They do tend to add a bit on if you're in a flat because of the stairs, so your quote sounds fine.0
