Carpet Fitting Question

The communal staircase in my block of flats has extra thick underlay to reduce noise to the ground floor flat. The carpet keeps coming away as the gripper is not high enough for the depth of the underlay.
Is it possible to buy gripper which is 'stacked' or deeper than usual, so that we can replace the existing gripper and resolve the problem ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You can get Gripper fitted with long pins, rather than the normal medium pins. A Google search will bring it up straight away.
