I need some flattering black trousers

I desperately need a really good pair of Black going out trousers. I have a draw full of ones that dont fit quite right, but I dont know where to start looking.
I want them to be slightly stretchy, just a zip no pockets, so they fit nice.
Bootcut and plain black.
I am a size 12 with a size 12 and a bit bum! so they need to be cut for a curvy bottom lol!
I dont mind how much they cost (within reason) I just want some that are really flattering, do they exist?

Good trousers are like good men - they are rarely found!!
My advice would be get out to the shops and try on as many as you can. Try stores that you are familiar with and are happy with the quality and pick up one pair of each style of black pants.
You can never really tell until you try them on even across different styles in the same make.
And, if you are lucky enough to find your perfect pants buy a few pairs!!!

Thanks I was afraid you would say that lol! I was hoping there might be an easy way, looks like lots of shopping!

  • I normally find trousers that fit on the bum gape at the waist but I've had my best fitting trousers from Tesco, Sainsbury's and Next. I was happy to spend more to find the perfect pair but I still find myself buying from these shops. Good luck on your hunt!

despite my despair at the usual quality in the shop, my favourite pair of black trousers are tuxedo style ones from primark that were less than £15 bargain and they look really dressy and flattering.

I am just dreading the thought of trying on hundreds of pairs of trousers!
    £100 - £10,000
  • I'd try Next first, they are cut really well. They will be with the work clothes/suits section. Tesco ones are a good reliable (very cheap) buy, the polyester is slightly 'shiny' though.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

  • I normally find trousers that actually fit my bum in Dorothy Perkins, however they mostly seem to be selling leggings at the moment! I did see some nice bootcut ones though, but I prefer the wide leg...

I feel your trouser-hunting pain, I'm still wearing my old favourites which are coming apart slightly at the seams, and the zip has to be held up with a safety pin!

    go to M&S

when you find the right trousers go home, wear then wash them, if they still fit OK go ahead and order 6 identical pairs on t'internet.

Good trousers are hard to find, and once you decide you like them the stock has changed to next seasons.
