Strange Phone Call

Just had a phone call from Stuart saying I had 'won' a spa day for me and a friend.
Now, I used to live in Southampton and they still had me down as living there (when I lived in Southampton I never entered competitions) the guy said that Donna Beaumont had recommended me and they wanted to invite me for a spa day for a booking fee of between £1 and £10???
I dont know anyone called Donna Beaumont, and when I said I didnt live in Southampton anymore he said thats fine he can book me in for a spa day in Manchester this weekend?
Hes calling me back as I couldnt really talk when he phoned. I smell a fish - why would they charge a booking fee? But on the other hand if its £10 for a spa day worth £100 it might be worth it anyway? Has anyone else had the same call and paid the booking fee?

Hmmm....sounds dodgy to me. If you do decide to go for it, I would find out how much and what's included and have it sent via email to you. Then check out the location and how much the package would normally cost and then make a decision.

If you have to pay anything it is not a win. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Nothing adds up. Stuart says a booking fee of between £1 and £10. Why no definite price? You don't know a Donna Beaumont - he just picked a name from thin air, and hope that you might say, oh I used to remember a Donna, but I can't remember her surname. Stuart has an old contact list that he probably bought for 50p for 983 million names. Lastly, back to the booking fee - no win makes you pay a booking - only scams. I would put this in the trash can, and see what tomorrow brings.
We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0 -
Well 'Stuart' didnt call back so doesnt look like I will be going to the Spa. I guessed there would be a scam in it somewhere just wondering if anyone had payed the booking fee and ended up with a spa day etc

He called on a mobile no. which I actually havent had for that long, knew where I lived (well, lived up until July of this Yr!). Just wish I had heard correctly where he was calling from!0
