Combi Boiler Help!!!

brains Posts: 154 Forumite
I opened the valve to let some pressure into the pipes and my hand slipped!:o

The pressure is now right up the top! I've turned off the boiler so the pipes don't explode! How do I let pressure out so to speak. :D (I can't find the manual!)

THanks. :money:

Not really an expert, but I do have a combi boiler.

Have you tried bleeding each radiator?

there is normally a drain valave near the boiler, might go out through the wall to the outside

on the left of this radiator valve, will look like that

will need a bowl underneath when you open it, or push a bit of garden hose on the bottom and run that outside

I don't think anything will explode as the pressure relief valve should vent if the pressure gets too high.
As headcovers suggested bleeding a radiator should lower the pressure albeit slowly.
I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes.

Sorted. Didn;t have a pressure release valve so I bled a few of the radiators with the key and the pressure dropped. Thanks.
