Thanks to Taylornj for that info, long story, but I've just received a very nasty letter from a debt collection agancy for which I know nothing about!
Secondly, I believe (although I'd check with the law for this) that a bailiff is not allowed to break and enter into your house. However, they are allowed to enter through an open window or door. But you are under huge rights to not allow them to come in. You're in a good position with being in a CCTV block, you don't even need to open the front door to them.

Not to mention that Equita would employ Certificated Bailiffs-who have to get their certificate from the County Court. If you are going to complain, try to get the name of the bailiff (hopefully on letters left) and then complain to the County Court. A District Judge should then look into it.0
