FTB requires new boiler

Hi soon to be FTB and requiring a new boiler in the property.

Currently has (forgive me if i get this wrong)...

an emmersion heater above the kitchen sink & a cylinder tank with boiler above in spare bedroom

Needs changing to a combination heater, anybody have an idea on price or if there are any grants available, the grants i have been looking at all require you to be on some form of benefits.

Just had a quote for a new Combination Bolier, fitting, parts, new TRV's, Flush system and some sort of filter for £2100.

We had to put a boiler in your new FTB place; previously no heating just emersion heater with header tank in loft and hot water tank in cupboard.

We had a WorcBos 30CDi, 8 rads, new gas pipe, all old stuff removed and came in at 5k.....

how do you know you require a new boiler?
and where do you live? around here there 3 plumbers advertising combis fitted for 1500 quid.

You require a complete central heating system, not just a boiler.
