BT VP1000 home monitoring system, need an external alarm!

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, couldn't figure where to ask,
I've got the BT VP1000 kit which I wil install soon, however I'd like a alarm box outside that works (not a dummy one)
Is the Visonic MCS-700 compatible with it?
I've read that it is, but went to buy it and it read its ONLY compatible with powermax stuff.
is there anyone actually using the two together right now and it works?
