Outside garden cabling - 3 or 4 core SWA needed?

I've got to purchase some items prior to an electrician doing a bit of installation.
I have a switchable outdoor socket already in the garden and need to connect 3 external lights on a spur running on normal 240volts and using energy efficient 11w bulbs.
What type of external cable is needed to go from the 3-pin external socket to the actual lights? The cable to the external socket is an amoured SWA cable.
Looks like there is 3core or 4core SWA options. From the socket to the lights will 3-core do?
thanks if you can help.

why not just ask the electrician ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com1

yes that's sensible but he put the external socket in and charged a fortune for the "very expensive outdoor cable" so I want to get it from Screwfix and only pay labour.
I think it's 3-core. 4 core may give an extra switching circuit

Hope I can bump on to this.
I wanted to fit a couple of lights outside, twin security lights (125w) and two low energy light
I was planing on wiring up to a main plug as I believe this is allowable under the rules from what some one said on these forums recently.
So dont know what cable to get I need about 3 meters for one security light light and around 3 and 5 meters for the low energy lights.
I just fitted a solar powered security light at front which is fine for that but cant afford £65 a pop for a light
What cable will I need and also do I need to use that plastic cable management thing0
