11:11:21
computerbar
which are over 60 days old but less than 90 days old
11:11:33
computerbar
I can not see them in my ebay
11:11:44
computerbar
the option there is only upto 60 days
11:12:17
computerbar
and I believe it is ebays policy that free relisting can be done with 90 days
11:12:19
Ryan R.
May I please have the item number so that I can take a quick look?
11:12:39
computerbar

11:12:42

11:13:05
computerbar
I was selling some 50 books about two months ago
11:13:26
computerbar
about 27 of them were unsold
11:13:37
Ryan R.
May I know if that was Sold on eBay?
11:13:38
computerbar
so I need to relist them now
11:13:43
computerbar
yes
11:15:29
Ryan R.
Well, on eBay the listing is visible only for 60 days and after that its taken off to save the resources.
11:15:39
computerbar
OK
11:15:45
computerbar
but
11:16:05
computerbar
why not make it visible for 90 days
11:16:20
computerbar
if it is the policy to relist them within 90 days
11:16:21
computerbar
?
11:16:34
Ryan R.
I do understand the importance of your situation. However, the 60 days is the default time set by eBay to all the items on eBay.
11:16:39
computerbar
I think it is absurd
11:17:01
Ryan R.
I understand how you must be feeling and I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
11:17:06
computerbar
so what I am going to do now
11:17:27
computerbar
?
11:17:34
Ryan R.
But we need to do that as if we keep all the listings then the site will be very slow..
11:17:54
Ryan R.
You'll have to relist your item as fresh item.
11:18:09
computerbar
but I wont get any credit for it
11:18:10
computerbar
?
11:18:45
Ryan R.
That's right, as it has to be done within 60 days..
11:18:55
computerbar

That is absurd. You did good though.

Life's not fair, especially if you dabble in eBay!
I hope you get your free listings!Wins: Avene Protective Hydrating Cream; 2 x Calvin harris Tickets @ iTunes Festival.

I think the operator was very calm and polite given how obtuse and sarcastic you were being.0

Ryan seemed pleasant enough depsite you goading him.0

Don't forget how frequently obtuse eBay is. Of course young Ryan is hardly eBay's CEO, however he clearly can't even explain the discrepency on eBay's part and is skirting the issue.Wins: Avene Protective Hydrating Cream; 2 x Calvin harris Tickets @ iTunes Festival.

He advised the reason why its 60days and explained the reason it says 90 on some parts of Ebay is because they are trying to update it all. He explained it very clearly!0 -
Legally if they offer that, then they should produce the goods. He advised the reason why its 60days and explained the reason it says 90 on some parts of Ebay is because they are trying to update it all. He explained it very clearly!
He just says that matter of fact with a nice serving of "Just deal with it" to boot.
Regardless, I can sympathise with the OP's frustration.Wins: Avene Protective Hydrating Cream; 2 x Calvin harris Tickets @ iTunes Festival.

They did say they would reimburse. The data storage must be a issue when you think about it. But yes, they should change their policy if they can't store the listings. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

No such thing as a free relist though

You get a relist credit on an unsold item and then if you relist within the set time period and it sells on the second attempt you get the second set of listing fees back. This only applies to the basic fees not any upgrades.
Also as these are books they now need to have the post and packing included in the start price so no doubt that means a higher start price, which means they would not be eligible for a relist anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
