Lloyds Chemist Frontline Rip Off - I just returned a box of 6 pipettes of Frontline for Cats to the high street chemist Lloyds are charging an outrageous £28.88!!

I see at chemist direct the same item is £16 or so BUT they stuff on £2.95 postage - I can' be bothered to buy more stuff to take me over the £40 free delivery requirement.

Any tips for cheap on high street ot lower postage online?

VetUk have been recommended around the forums, 6 pipettes would be £16.93 with free postage.
  • Does they Lloyds do EFFIPRO - it is the same substance (fipronil) and dosage but a cheaper version, as I believe it is no longer under license. My local chemist does it.

I've been getting frontline from VetUK for years now (literally). Never had any short dated products, just checked the frontline 6 pack that I bought last month (for £16.93) and the expiry date is April 2012.

Not sure how they think their frontline will get there any quicker than VetUK's free first class postage - them charging you for postage doesn't make it come any quicker!
  • Hi Quid-itch,

Without wanting to get in on all the fighting here I thought I'd point out that I've used Petmeds recently for Frontline. They were cheapest, albeit only slightly, when considering P&P and Quidco cashback etc.

I've been avoiding Chemist Direct recently as they've had some really bad problems (search the boards) and I;ve had a bad experience with them.

    Hope this helps

After browsing some of Spudette's posts across the forum they seem to be heavily advertising Pet Meds which is a shame as i'd steer clear of them now for that reason.

Spudette is lying as Pet Meds is their own business and they are trying to discredit a perfectly reputable and honest company. They have committed libel here and I'm sure VetUK would be interested to see this!!

Spudette used to post as, or is connected to thomasr79 but was PPRd for advertising Pet Meds and not declaring it as their own business.

:rotfl:lol. I work for A Coombs in my spare time but I have no affiliation with Pet Meds. That is very funny though. lol

Out of 237 posts maybe 10 of them mention Pet Meds. This is simply because I use them a lot for my prescription foods. What about the rest of my posts where I have tried to help people out with there queries - do they not count?!!

I think that it is a shame when people try and voice there opinions on companies and you automatically get accused of working for them. I only mention Pet Meds because they are the only prescription company I have dealt with I have never dealt with Vet Uk. The above quote was from one of the staff at Pet Meds staff not me which is not my views at all. Hence why I put them in a quote! I only tried to help this member get a decent price and asked Pet Meds to beat it.

What is wrong with that?! You lot who accuse and don't know the facts put people of posting it is such a shame.

I wish I was working for Pet Meds at least I'd be getting paid for my posts :rotfl:

Explain how you know thomasr79 then? All his posts were deleted when he was PPRd for not declaring personal interest in Petmeds.

You personally thanked him in this post this afternoon from a thread started in 2007
