Paris - Boutique Hotels

Hi, I'm taking my GF to Paris in a few weeks time and we're looking for a not too expensive boutique hotel in Paris itself. Has anyone found a "quite special" hotel they'd be willing to recommend?

Many thanks

Try this http://www.chezbertrand.com/ "le loft" looks like the best room.

Location is near to the worls largest flea markets too.
  • Now that is "Boutique"

    Very fun

  • You're going to love it there. J'taime Paris...
Make sure you take a free walking tour. It shows all the main places, and at the end you tip the tour guide. That's unless you find somewhere to break off to during the tour. Not great for the tour guide, but you could just as easily trail 10m behind them to find out the landmarks anyway.

  • Greenface,

You don't happen to remember the name of the place next door do you? I'm staying in the 17th shortly, and would love a recommendation for where to eat :)

  • depending on your definition of boutique - but this is my favourite independent paris hotel - http://www.hotel-st-vincent.com/ in fabulous location (St germain de pres)
(worked in paris for a while) and we were put up next door at their cheaper sister hotel http://www.hotelsaintthomasdaquin.com/ which is lovely but not as exclusive if you want a special weekend.
ask them to recommend restaurants as there are some stunning ones just off the main roads that aren't tourist but local prices...

I can highly recommend the Castille Paris. A beautiful hotel, a good restaurant ... and if that doesn't work for the GF, the main Chanel store is next door! ;)
    Gone ... or have I?

Can also recommend the Ampere and the suggested restaurant! Had a fab stay there a few year ago. It is in a lovely area and within walking distance of Arc de Triomphe. Also good transport links for getting around easily.
