How can the smallest things get you down

Isnt it strange how tiny things can get you down. I read messages on these boards about how people are feeling low starting on their journey and how its so difficult and i think, yes it difficult but so worth it.
So anyway, tonight i get home from work and sit down with GF and we write our weekly shopping list, mostly OS now (thanks guys), go to ASDA to buy food and about 50% of items out of stock. Most veg shelves are empty.
I came home feeling crappy because i have to go back tomorrow and it messes up my plans.
To be honest not even sure why im writing this just felt i had to gt it of my chest, oh well tomorrows another day.
Thanks for listening ppl, debt free in 9 months, cant wait.

That's what the forum is here for...to get things off yer chest!
I know what you mean when little things get you down, but as you say, tomorrow is another day and a good nights sleep will make things seem better.

I think I've been a lemon (haha pardon the pun) and assumed that supermarkets are always cheaper because of theire bulk buying power. Not so, according to local press. I'm gonna check out the market stalls and see if they really ARE cheaper (and if they are, it would be so ironic, BECAUSE I HAVE TO WALK PAST THEM ON THE WAY TO MY LOCAL SUPERMARKET!!)

i know exactly what you mean.
however i would focus on that 9 months debt free date and keep it firmly lodged in the front of your mind when you go to pick up your things in the shop tomorrow.

GreyPilgrim - markets stalls are the way to go. I take a fair sized rucksack to the market every Saturday morning and usually fill it for a fiver which easily lasts a week for one. In fact, once you become a regular, they might even throw in the odd freebie. I got a free cauli the other week - a bit manky looking, but once it was soup I didn't notice! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Can I have my little moan?
Well, bought a load of veg and decided I'd learn to cook.
Spent most of the night cooking 3 pans of stew and putting it into reuseable food bags to freeze.
Next day me and bf have some stew, really nice it was.... anyway later that night I'm in the kitchen and I'm thinking it's really warm!
Thought nothing of it, went to bed.
Next day in the kitchen and thinking somethings not right here I can feel heat in the kitchen, then I noticed it!
he'd left the gas hob on since he'd warmed up the stew!! Must have been burning away for 18 hours or something!!
Anyway that's my moan oh and the fact I will be eating stew every day for a fortnight!Official DFW Nerd 071/£2 saver=£10

bit of stardrops in the bottom of the pan for 5 mins, then slice a bar of soap & boil it- should take most of it off:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
