Mildrew on flat roofs

I got several flat roofs, two south facing dont have problems, but I have a garage flat roof (faces West) and a small extension at rear (facing North) North facing extension gets more covered in mildrew than the garage roof, both roofs are made from epdm rubber
I tried some oxy bleach the stuff you use for cleaning clothes which seems to helped but rather than keep doing this reguarly as North facing roof gets it a lot due to alck of sunshine I want to use copper.
But was wondering if how you fasten it to rood maybe near the lead flashing which butts on to building
According to this article copper work

If you want to kill Moss, a dilute solution of household Bleach sprayed on with an ordinary sprayer such as the ones you get with kitchen cleaning products will normally do the job.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Thanks I hear bleach might cause problems hence the need to use oxy bleach
Oxygen Bleach was just sprayed on this roof. You can see it quickly foam up while it is cleaning the algae and dirt all on its own!
is wise to avoid chlorine bleach as a roof cleaner. Chlorine bleach can remove the natural color from wood roofing shakes, it can kill vegetation on the ground if it runs onto the ground as it is rinsed from the roof and it can accelerate corrosion of metal gutter and downspout systems. A better roof cleaner might be non-toxic oxygen bleach. This widely available powder is mixed with water and applied to a cool roof surface, preferably on an overcast day. If you keep the roof surface wet with the solution for just 20 minutes, and then lightly scrub the roof surface, the algae almost always comes off. Severely stained roofs may require multiple applications of the oxygen bleach solution. The solution also helps to loosen the grip of the shallow moss roots.0 -
I wanted to use a more permanent solution rather than keep cleaning for two reasons, time and also extra wear and tear with cleaning with a soft brush0

The water off our roof goes down the same pipes and drains as the water from the washing machine and sink.
I have yet to see the plants and garden suffer because of it.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
