Adding vitamins to home made bread

I make most of my own bread using a Panasonic breadmaker. I have been thinking of adding vitamins and other nutrients like folic acid as I have a minor vitamin deficiency at present (caused by a prescription drug I was taking, now stopped).

Anyone know where to source them?

I would ask as your pharmacy. Vit C powder you should be able to get off the shelf, Boots ordered in something else for me once (so long ago I can't remember what it was!).
  • I would check what vitamins are deactivated by heat, as many are - eg vit C is destroyed by heat above 70C.
This website is really useful as it tells you what substances "destroy" various vitamins etc, however it doesn't give specific temps. EG folic acid it says is destroyed by heat and interestingly many are destroyed by oestrogen.

I would think it would be much easier just to take tablets for a short while until your levels are back up?
