I'd seriously consider pricing up new spindles. This could be a really horrible job- long, dusty and if using Nitromors, "uncomfortable". Seriously, price your time and pain against some new bits of wood.0

Don't forget if your house is old and your stripping paint; be careful its not lead based! ive stripped my banister down of victorian terrace and although im not convinced they have been there that long they have come up nicely. Can i just put some teak oil on it to protect it?
Next job sanding the stairs. hmmmm0 -

Yes you can, but remember it will stay sticky for awhile, as with... There are no straight lines in nature, there are no two pieces of wood the same, so expect some variations in the colour shades of the wood, but this is more natural and I like this effect.Look after the Pennies and the Pounds will take care of themselves. :beer:0
