Karndean Knight Tile or Amtico Spacia?

Options
We are looking at Karndean or Amtico Spacia for our kitchen and two bathrooms. The kitchen is quite large (37 m2) so our budget is around £20 per m2. We have four kids so the floor will get a battering! Which is better, the Karndean Knight Tile or Amtico Spacia?

Thanks in advance :D

  • oh and another question: the Amtico Spacia Push Fit is quite cheap compared to Easyfit and the regular one (whatever that is called). Is that any good?
  • We have Amtico spacia on our kitchen floor. Was fitted in Sept and so far pleased with it. Warm on feet, easy to clean, looks good - someone even thought they were real tiles the other day!
  • Thanks, dh says to stick with Amtico but I'd like to make sure!

    Hi

In my opinion its a 'no brainer' Amtico every time.

    Not much difference I'd say.

Karndean used to be poorer quality than Amtico ... so they brought out more expensive and better quality ranges to compete better.

Spacia is Amtico's downmarket version - to compete with the original Karndean Knight Tile.

If you talk to an Amtico dealer, they'll swear by Amtico. If you talk to a Karndean dealer, they'll swear by Karndean. ;)
I write blogs about kitchens ... and I design kitchens for a living ... I just love kitchens!
  • We have got Amtico in the kitchen and bathroom!! its brilliant stuff but would suggest you get a fitter who is registered to fit it !! a good fitter makes all the difference as I believe its not that easy to fit although the professionals make it look easy
  • Thanks. We went to an independent shop yesterday and were told that the Spacia is equivalent to Karndean's Renoir range.
