cancelling ppi

ive currently tryed claiming back my ppi without success and i am now going down the fos route

should i cancell my ppi???

it says on info that if cancelled i will be refunded a part of the initial sum

albeit small this is my question

my policy says if cancelled the proportion of term will be refunded as follows

24 months 14%
36 months 6%

my policy started on nov 20th 2006

if cancelled beforethe 20th am i withing my rights to say its not 36 months yet and would i get the 14%

im lost any help apriciated

    Hi there

    Hopefully someone will be along to give their own opinions on this as well, but you should be able to cancel anytime anyway.

    But its entirely up to you, if the PPI was added into the loan, the chances are it will not reduce by much, not like if it were cancelled within the cooling period as such.

    I do know what your saying though, so please do not quote on my opinion here and wait for others on this one, good luck with the FOS, they will get this sorted out for you.

    What I would like to mention though, you may be aware of the timescales within the FOS, but if your in any financial hardship and have some personal issues, you can let them FOS know and ask if they would consider pushing your complaint for "Fast tracking".

    Thought I would mention this because not everyone are aware of this.;)
