Hi, Can anyone help me.......I am trying to reclaim PPI from the Natwest. I sent the first letter which was sent back to me asking for £10, this was sent on the 23rd September. I then recieved a letter telling me that they couldnt find any loan agreements (i have had 4 loans with them)!! They also told me that they would send statements showing my loan payments but they havent turned up. Is this normal or are they just trying to put me off? Any advice would be great, thanks

Hello there and welcome.
I take it then you sent them a Subject Access request (SAR) letter for all your information?
Payment is required for this request, and normally they have up to 40 days to comply.
However, if you have a complaint for being mis sold the PPI, just as long as you have the account number then that is fine.

Going back to the SAR request did you use the letter template on here, you will find this here on the below link.
They do tend to ask for payment when asking for your details but with a SAR with payment they should be able to supply all the details going back as far as 5/6 years.

Thank you for your help, yes it was a SAR request. Is it normal for them to send statements for the duration of the loans and how long should they take? Yes i have used the template letters from here iam just a bit worried that iam on the wrong track regarding claiming my PPI.

Hi there
With pleasure.;)
They vary in regards of the statements, but if you request the SAR with payment they should send every one of them to you as from 5/6 years.
Some ask for the statements separately and the charges for these may vary, but it may not take so long as the actual SAR, but its that of 40 days for the SAR, where you should receive everything they still hold on you.
Do when you say your a little worried about going down the wrong track in reclaiming the PPI, may I ask if you have already sent the ppi reclaim letter? The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi, yes i sent the PPI reclaim letter first and that was sent back to me with a letter asking for £10 for the data. I had to send the original first reclaim letter back with the cheque.
So i should recieve the statements soon and then take it to the next step to claim my PPI back.
Thank you so much for all your help0 -

Brilliant.;)
They have 8 weeks as from your reclaim letter.
Hopefully they will uphold in your favour, if not they may give you another opportunity to write back to them for consideration, keep at them until you receive the final response, if by the final decision they do not resolve, you can take your complaint to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), good luck and please keep us posted.
Your most welcome.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi there
Just as long as you have the account number then that is fine, you can continue to write to reclaim.
For more on PPI reclaiming check this link below, the useful guidelines of reclaiming, template letters, checklist of mis selling reasons and so on, do ask for help when required and post your letter by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.
Good luck.;)
