I'm going to london for the day on saturday with a friend and as we are both a bit strapped for cash, wondered what if you guys had any ideas what we could do? I'd love to go and see a show, is it cheaper to book online or to wait till the day and book at covent garden? Ideally would like to see Thriller Live, has anyone seen it?

Go to lastminute.com. Lots of shows for a tenner and meal n show for twenty pound.
I use these every time I go to London and have never had a bad show yet."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"

Lord mayors show is a parade that lasts a couple of hours. As for shows quite a few have cheap balcony seats or stand bys if you go to the box office on the day, if you are under 26 some shows are free, not sure which though. Inspector calls, 39 steps, woman in black, La cage and a few others usually sell cheaply between (£12-20). Have a look on theatremonkey for special offers or as mentioned lastminute (thursday morning they have wigig)0
