Nissa Micra N-tec scrappage deal
I was thinking of getting the nissan micra n-tec scrappage deal as it has 0% finance. but the website doesn't say exact finance plan but gives 0845 sales number.
Question is has anyone brought this car under the scrappage deal and apart from the 30% deposit do you have the pay any other fees?
It say is only from £8195 and apparaently insurance group 3. Would that be cheap to insure then?
Thanks in advance.
p.s Do have to have a high income to qualify for the 0% finance as I'm a student.

Anyone who has brought from the scrappage scheme, please share your story if you don't mind.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Not sure about the deal itself really, but yes insurance group 3 would be cheap, although it may be a little more expensive to insure than a similarly grouped old car that isn't worth much. Do you have much credit history? You may have difficulty if not. You can put e.g. a parent down as a guarantor on the finance, which means if you default they'll go to your parents for the money and thus you're more likely to get the finance deal.
I'd contact your local dealer and see what they say.0 -
No wonder students leave uni with umpteen thousand pounds debt nowadays.
We used to think spending a tenner on a second had pushbike off the union notice board was an extravagance."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Although I can understand the temptation, I'll be a student this time next year.
Then there was my father who somehow managed to own a tatty car and motorbike simultaneously whilst at uni. No idea quite how he managed that one financially. Or maybe he didn't.0 -

Well my parents will be paying the deposit and I'll have to pay the montly payment which will be 180-200 plus another £100 to insure it so total it will be around £300 a month.
By the way I'm midwife student so I won't be in any debts:rotfl:0 -
