Do you currently use the account?

This is the argument that I cannot see which is how the Nationwide account today is causing you financial hardship today.
I'll ask another queston as well. On the mortgage arrears, are the arrears getting worse, staying the same, or being paid off?

staying the same,so you are saying i cannot claim financial hardship if i dont use the account, even though they owe me over 4k in charges

No I am not saying you cannot claim. I am making an assessment so as to make sure that you do not build up your hopes to them rolling over and paying out in full.
Yes reclaim under financial hardship but BE PREPARED for them to say no because of what I have said above.

It doesn't change the assessment since Nationwide is not causing the hardship anymore. BUT make them aware of it anyway.
