washing machine - conditioner part of drawer blocked

Am sure this is one of the easiest things to do when you know how!
The bit where the fabric conditioner is poured into, in the drawer, is blocked - permanently filled with water. I've taken the drawer out, rinsed, soaked and scrubbed it with hot water and detergent - it still fills up and stays full of water next time the washing machine is used - any ideas please?

Jonesy - I too have the same problem so will be watching this with interest. Sorry can't give you any useful help with this tho. I have to empty mine of water at the end of each cycle otherwise I've found leaving it full of water encourages mouldBanana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0

Had a quick nose at the first link but I won't be able to see the second one until I get home tonight. Haven't used bleach so maybe that's the first thing I'll try. Fingers crossed!!0 -
It could be that the syphon tube is blocked. You say you've scrubbed the drawer, but you should see a little tube in the conditioner section - try poking this clear with a pipe-cleaner, or very gently with a slim screwdriver, or piece of wire. It sounds like this is clogged. Also, clean the area where the drawer slides into - remove the drawer, give the aperture ( particularly the top ) a spray with kitchen cleaner or similar, and brush it clean with an old toothbrush.0

1) Run washing machine in rinse mode
2) Pull drawer out slightly and take a look at the holes above the conditioner compartment
3) If water is coming out slowly or merely dripping , double up some fishing line and push yards of it up the holes, pulling it backwards and forwards
4) Repeat 1) to 3) until water is coming out at correct rate
Worked for me :-)0 -
I've had this problem with a couple of washing machines. I've now given up using conditioner as I'm fed up with clogged up mouldy drawers and I don't think it particularly does anything beneficial to the laundry anyway. The other thing you can try is diluting the conditioner with water before putting it in the drawer.0

I was always having this problem until as mentioned above pulled out the draw and scrubed the little holes above the draw with an old tooth brush however kept having to do this every couple of weeks, now I dont know about you but I always used to fill the draw right up with conditioner but then started using only half a cap full of conditioner since then had no problems and washing still comes out the same as filling the conditioner compartment right to the top plus my conditioner lasts a lot longer now lol0

I had this problem (as well as broken drum) so when the engineer came out to look at the drum I mentioned it and he got a screwdriver and stuck it in the tube/hole where the conditioner comes out and it was full of dried contitioner that wouldn`t just come out when you rinse the draw.0

I've also found that the small tube moves and needs to be central to work.
I tend to use vinegar now when I do any towelling - some people use this all the time and reckon it works just as well. You definitely can't smell it when your washing is done.

Add a few drops of the essential oil of your choice to sort that one out!0
