On divorce, the starting point is 50/50 split of all assets. The divorcing parties then negotiate an agreement about what the split should be, and if they can't agree the judge will do it for them..................

Thanks. I'm hoping we can both be sensible about this but he can be a bit awkward. The irony is that it seems to be better not to have much in the way of savings...an idea I really don't like.0
